About two more days!

The trip is right around the corner! I'm so excited for the trip!

On Wednesday we came together for one more last minute meeting. Unfortunately, not everyone could make it, but those who did come shared quite a few laughs. We're supposed to do a dance for the opening ceremony when we arrive in Ueda. We tried to pick an 'American' song, and we chose the YMCA. Now, we couldn't do a simple dance. We had to go and make it complicated (not that I'm complaining - much). Since not everyone could make it, we filmed it so we could give the other delegates an idea of what we had in mind. We recorded, then watched it. And laughed. We...to put it nicely, were not the best at synchronized dancing.
But, our last meeting before the trip was full of laughs. One delegate had just returned from Canada and he decided to show us his Canadian accent. That brought a round of laughs. And while we were practicing our dance, a couple of the boys decided it would be a great idea to try to do handstands, and somehow that led into carrying one of them? It was definitely amusing. Not to forget that we were practicing in the backyard which only had a fence separating it, and a busy road behind it. (Well, there was the sidewalk and some grass as well, but, you get the point) We attracted quite a few second glances.

Hopefully I'll be able to post while in Japan, but if I don't, the Broomfield Sister Cities Facebook page will update regularly.

Mate ne! (See you later!)
